Meet Brett Pocock and Sergio Guillen, our dedicated Technical Sales Engineers for ComFlor® and Purlins. Two industry veterans with decades of experience behind them and a shared commitment to helping our customers design and build with confidence.

With over 30 years in composite metal decking, Brett’s technical insight is second to none. Starting his career in construction before retraining in structural engineering, he’s been at the forefront of the composite flooring industry ever since. Brett is known for his integrity and depth of knowledge. A professional who stands by every piece of advice he gives and is dedicated to ensuring the best outcomes for every project, from design to delivery.

With nearly two decades of civil engineering experience, Sergio has worked across highway design, construction, and maintenance before moving into steel structures. Since joining Steel & Tube, he’s become a key technical advisor for both ComFlor® and HST Purlins, combining his extensive engineering background with a passion for innovation and collaboration. Outside of work, he’s also a published author in road design and a keen footballer. Qualities that reflect his focus on teamwork, strategy, and precision.

Together, this specialist team work closely with architects, engineers, builders and developers from the early stages of a project through to construction. Having engineering expertise in-house allows them to provide clear, consistent guidance. Whether that’s sense-checking specifications, working through non-standard details, or helping resolve technical questions as they arise on site. It’s this hands-on support that helps customers move forward with confidence and keep projects running smoothly.
